I owe, I owe, it's off to work I go...

I have been in my new role for a week now and still it feels completely overwhelming. Like anything that is new, it takes time to settle, to learn and to fully understand what exactly it is that you are doing.

I have joined the company just at the right time too. We are currently busy with the budget setting process for 2009 which will run for the next few weeks. That done, we then hit our financial year end, and audit.

So no pressure then...

For the time being I am just trying to learn, and trying to get used to my great big office, with it's large desk and 4-seater conference table, and the view of Oxford Road in Illovo.

Hey, it's a tough life, but someone has to live it!
